Need some help with buddys 94 VTEC (advanced timing)?

Default Need some help with buddys 94 VTEC (advanced timing)?

can you advance a vtec preludes timing at all, I read that you can but I dont see how on the engine. Any info is appriciated

loosen the three bolts on the distributor, and then turn it. Have that timing gun hooked up and ready.

yes i can see that but there is no indicator on the block and no white or red mark, and i just dont want to turn the distibutor.

score your own mark on the distributer flange to use as a reference point for when you rotate your distributer... just remember that you are going to be affecting the ignition timing, not the cam timing (mechanical timing)...
