Default Time for a new engine

How hard to put in a new engine? i have never done something like this before? i was thinking of going with an si engine D series, how much could i get 1 for? and how hard would it to be to do it myself, i have an engine puller btw.

its not hard to install just need a full swap and about 2gs maybe a lil less for a swap.

not sure bout the helms manuel but i know for a fact the chilton one has step by step details on how to swap engines.

2g's for a D series? No probably like a grand at most shipped. But its really easy to do and H-T is here to help you out if needed. The biggest problem you might have is wiring VTEC if you dont have it but not hard at all.

what are some good sites to look at motors? the DZ isn't that out of an si? what are some other good engines for less than 2 g's shipped?

Do you mean ZC? or the D16z6?

Either get a d16z6 and a tranny used from your local shop, or get a jdm d15b with LSD tranny. Under 1g put in with a good clutch. My friend swapped his for $500 with tune up and new clutch. Still is running his cx tranny. A Saturday project.

In the market for a 92- 95 Si engine D16z6 or a D16y8, but preperably(???however you spell it) the Z6. Anyone know a site with some for sale???Really want one bad

Then stage 2 or stage 3. Stage 1 supposably should hold but I wouldn't trust it.

Go to your local perfomance/swap shop. Tell them that you are looking for that engine. They should have one pulled out of the car somewhere. My friend got it like that and it was in perfect condition (almost perfect compression, and no sludge build up)
