Default starter or battery?

about a month ago my starter did not turn over but it clicked like it supposed to, the next turn it turned over, i drove for about 3 weeks without it doing it again, now this week it does it every time i try to start my car, but after driving the car i can turn it off and then start it back up again, i checked the water in the battery, and it was low.
so my question is , is my battery just weak but not dead or is my starter going out and if so does it just go out or slowly die like this case?

sorry in advance of the run on sentence

I would take your car to vatozone and have them test your battery (its free) and if its bad, replace it...if its ok it souds like it could be your starter.

How old is your battery? and why do you have the that type? A good maintenance free attery is well worth the money. sometimes low water can cause the battery to go bad. it it is, replace it obviously, but thats not your problem.
the SAME THING just happened to my starter. it will click and then turn over. I put it off for a month and before I finally got a new one. When I left autozone with the new one and started my car up to go home, the darn thing went haywire!! it stuck in the "on" position and continuously turned the engone over. even when I pulled the key out!! I had to pull the battery cable to make it stop... very annoying and embarasing...
Everyhting is back to normal now that I put the new one in. Its so ironic that it went south 30 seconds after I bought the new one!

Be sure to price check the new one!
