Default check engine light=loss of power, oil light battery light, click from relay?

90 crx b16a:
i drove my car about 50 miles last night, i'v had a problem with my car cutting out
for about 1second and the main relay clicks when this happens, its totaly random
not heat realated, so last night it did this about 25 times BUT my check engine
light came on about 10 times, at times when the light came on i lost power and could not accelerate untill i pushed in the clutch and coasted a few feet. when i
push in the clutch some times the light would go off. also in this same trip my oil
light and battery light came on and went off, when i got to a stop i found my temp
gauge wire had fell off but nothing else.
any ideas of whats going on?
with all these problems could my ecu be bad?
thanks for any help

Check ALL of your grounds and the Ignition switch. The car is 14 years old and parts do fail in odd ways. It could still be the MAIN relay or even a bad cell in the battery. Have you tested the Alternator? If not-do that too. Last-clean the battery terminals and grounds.

once when my friends car was doing that his cable actually came off the pedastle it fits on...

when he bought a new 1 and tightened it down right, it acceled fine...
also he replaced the speed sensor and his check engine light went away

u should try replacing main relay anyway, these older hondas just seem to have some really bizarre problems..

I really sounds like a faulty ground! Like already mentioned, check all the grounds. Those exact things happen when a ground comes loose!

Exactly, your electrical system is tripping out. When you have multiple lights/gauges ******* up, this is 99% of the time the cause.
