Wow. Can you believe it? **F1 Imola qualifying spoiler**
What I can't believe is that I set my VCR to tape the wrong channel. BAR's first pole and I missed it. $%#&! I knew it was coming, I just didn't think it would be this soon, or at Ferrari's home track. Woo hoo!
What a great lap! Button was perfect and the car looked awesome. I think it will be close tomorrow...will be intresting to see the first corner, I hope MS doenst try some wacky chit and push JB off or something.
Best of luck to BAR/Honda!!
Such a relief after the past ~4 years man.

I would be very surprised if he was able to. He has to start on the dirty side of the track, so I don't think there will be a challenge in turn 1.

Crazy to see MS made a mistake in sector 3, have not seen him make a mistake in a while!

JV, who...?
Congratultions to BAR and JB. Sato's trap speed looks like he might be carrying extra fuel, so here's to a great race tomorrow

You know the "Iceman's" frustrated. At Bhrain which would be blown engine number three in a race his engine did a really big flaming blow up. Turns out Kimi was so pissed that when he knew the motor was going he just stayed in it so it would blow up as big as possible. McClaren/Mercedes have just not had their act together the last two years. Congrats to Button for maturing past his playboy days and focusing on the task at hand. I bet JV feels pretty silly right now.

That was just about the fastest recovery I've ever seen. His hands moved so quickly and dialed in the exact amount of correction almost instantaneously. Amazing he still got 2nd with that slide.

He has, but they never matter. In the USGP 2 years ago (I think) he spun while leading and went off in the infield section. It was something you might expect from Ralph Firman, not Schumacher. He just got back on and kept going, maintaining a lead of a few good seconds on the rest of the field.

Remember last season when BAR tried to get JV to sit out a year to save them money and be around when "big things" were going to be ready? I realise he got his money and is probably very happy, but HAHA, JB has the car now! I really love seeing BAR finally showing the results everyone expected.
Did Ilmore hire the engineers that worked at Honda last year? Kimi's last blowup looked exactly like the ones Honda was generating. Nice to see them put the A-team on the race motors finally.

He actually had an even more spectacular save last year at Hungary during practice. He went wide and into the grass at 140 mph and they had the in car camera on him on ITV's Uk broadcast. He just flicked his wrists a few times and accoding to the telemetry he never lifted one bit.
Way to go BAR. Looks like I switched from a Ferrari race car to a Honda race car just in time. Hopefully Jenson won't pull a Jarno Trulli who has gotten a pole a time or two but has never been able to win a race, despite a competitive car.
FYI: Schumacher is on the dirty line and also the wrong angle to attack Jenson. Watch for Montoya to go after Jenson rather than MS.

Jon Kofod
