Speedometer seems off

Default Speedometer seems off

hey guys. I I just put a b16 in my 95 civic cx and the speedo seems way off. Like on the highway doin what I think should be 55-60 speedo reads higher. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

make sure your VSS didn't come loose.
It's the sensor that goes into the top of your tranny.

this should help, if it doesn't then get a new Vehicle Speed Sensor

did you change the tire size?? cause that can mess it up cause if you go from a 13" to a 17" it will be off b/c the distance the car travels at one revolution of a tire on a 13 tire will be far less than that of a 17. the speedo is measured at the tranny or axle or something so one axle revolution with a 17" tire will travel farther then with a 13 on there. hope im clear it is kinda hard to explain.

yea I know about the wheel sizes and that is definatly not it no 17s hear. I am on 14s. So that is going to the VSS what did you mean by calibrating it or should I just check too see if it is tight

just wiggle it and see if it feels loose, if it is tighten it up
