I would like to get the JDM CTR folding mirror for my Civic, but the thing that is preventing me from doing it is the fact that the JDM mirrors have the convex mirror on the right side instead of the left side, since cars in Japan are RHD. I just noticed that Integra mirrors look very similar (if not exactly the same) as JDM CTR mirrors, but I know that Integra mirrors will not fit without modification because they have different mounting bases.

To fix the "convex mirror on wrong side" problem, I was thinking I can buy the Integra mirror glass, shown in the picture below as part #3 & #9 and replace the mirror glass from the CTR with the mirror glass from the Integra.

Does anybody here know whether or not the Integra mirror glass would swap directly into the JDM CTR mirrors?

I doubt it. I think the CTR mirrors are more tall and less long whereas the teg mirrors are longer and less tall (this was comparing some CTR knockoffs to the real deal from a Teg though).

 

Somebody on JDMCivic.com said that he knows for a fact that Canadian Acura EL mirror glass would work in these mirrors. Can anybody confirm or reject this?

The only question mark I have is that his user name has the word "Ferio" in it, which means he drives a 4-door (and 4-doors require Ferio folding mirrors - which has a different mounting base from 2/3 door mirrors). Besides the mounting bases being different, are Ferio mirrors otherwise identical to CTR mirrors?

 

have you considered your stock civic mirrors? i have a 00 coupe and i put on the knockoff mirrors. i realized that the glass part is the same shape from one style to the next. i'll try to post a pic to illustrate what i'm talking about.

if you do this you will lose the defroster on the ctr mirrors
