I guess a leak down test will me tell everything, but with limitted time I thought I would check with HT first. Set up is b18a with t3/t0E4, spearco fmic with Hack (just for now) My compression is 190 across, I have absolutely no leak in my charge pipe (tested with a homemade device) Yet my vacumm is at 7 when i start the car and creeps to 9 once the car is warmed. It was not like this before I swapped the engine over from my previous crx. I suspect it has something to do with the car idling at 1300~ What might be causing this? Thank you in advance for any input

 

look for some vacuum leaks because that is a really bad number and really shouldnt evern run with it that low. How does it idle?

 

I am having that same problem but the diffrence is mines is at 15 at idle my compression is 220 across, I have no vaccum leaks im not sure whats going on either.

 

15" is normal for most motors. Check ignition timing and cam timing, these both can give you low vacuum readings. What is the car idling at? If its idling at like 1200rpm you probably have a vacuum leak.

 

like i have already stated, car idles at 1300, there is no leak on charge pipe because I have already tested. I don't think it's the timing since I have mess with it in anyway except for installing the msd btm.

Since its idling high, take carb cleaner (must be carb cleaner) and spray in areas where it might leak ie. intake gasket, TB gasket, vacuum lines, brake booster. This will cause the high idle and low vacuum reading. Also check your idle valve, it might be stuck open
