Default Instrument/cluster interchangeable?

My tach is messed up and I'm going to replace the cluster. Going on ebay, I notice that all of the clusters are for automatics, while mine is a 5 speed. I was planning on installing reverse gauges, so they would cover the fuel and temp gauge which display N, R, 1, 2 etc.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a problem, when using a cluster for an auto, despite that my car is manual?

Thanks

instead of replacing the cluster, u can just take the tach out of the new one and put it in ur current one, if u were to replace u would have to register it with the dmv cuz miles would be off and what not, and if u ever decided u wanted to sell ur car most buyers would not once they found out u switched cluters, so just replace the tach, its like 3 screws and no wires, pretty simple

I used my stock automatic cluster until someone STOLE it and I bought a manual instrument cluster from a member here, and it worked just like normal. So I would think that you going from a manual to automatic instrument cluster will also be fine.

Thanks for the info guys.

I heard that this is only for the older Accords, while the 6th gen and up don't use screws. How certain are you that the 6th gen tachs are held down using three screws?

Thanks
