I just installed my DC 4-2-1 header on my 91 civic and it rattles around a certain rpm. The original downpipe had a bracket between the tranny and engine but the header doesn't have one and I think that the pipes are just resonating at low rpm's. Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes?

 

It shouldn't vibrate just because it has no bracket. Are all the bolts tightened? Check for other things that might be rattling.

 

I checked everything. While underneath of it I held a maglight against the header and the noise went away? Anyone else?

Hmmmm, maybe something loose got caught inside the header? Cause I don't have that bracket on my Teg and I don't get any rattles on my DC 2-piece header.

 

No rattles here, only thing holding the header on is the rest of the exhaust and the manifold bolts.
