Default Si heater controls

i know this will PHYSICALLY fit in my 97 civic dash, but will the wires plug in? i have spoken to one guy who said only the Si heater controls will plug in, all of the other civic ones will NOT plug in. or do i need an Si interior wiring harness?

Think about it. The Si controls are all buttons, where as the 96-98 controls are mostly switches. I heard it's WAY to much of a hassle to go through the process of converting it.
