is it alright to keep my 95 automatic accord in d3 in the city as long as i dont go over 40mph does it do harm as lng as io stay below 40 and does it save gas thanks in advanced

 

It doesn't really matter how fast you're going in any particular gear as long as you don't over do the RPMs. D3 is basically the drive gear (D4 is Over drive) and no it won't save gas. All it will do is help you accelerate a little bit faster.

 

D4 is 4 wheel drive


D3 is optimal 3-wheel motion

just dont let your RPM's get to 6 grand..you know use common sense but yes its just fine to drive around in d3

I would also imagine your MPG would get shitty due to higher revs

 

d4 will give you better gas milage...you want to drive in d3 on the hiway? thats just rediculous...you will get terrible gas milage
