Hi all, could use a little help diagnosing.

First issue - symptoms: Start the car in the morning, all is fine. Drive for about 15, 20 minutes and get the CEL. Engine still runs fine but now has a little trouble idling. Get to where I'm going, turn engine off, then back on hours later - no CEL but still isn't too keen about idling once warmed up. However, during the first 10 minutes or so running in stop and go traffic the idle slowly recovers on it's own. Then of course the CEL flashes again and the loop begins anew.

I realize this could be any number of things, but what are the most likely?

Second issue - The speedometer has lost it's mind. Motoring along it'll register the correct speed, drop instantly to zero, then back to the correct speed. Very intermittent, it'll go for days without acting up, then do it a dozen time during a 30 minute commute.

I'm guessing this is probably just a speed sensor issue - where is the thing located? Any chance the first issue is related to the second - they both started happening around the same time. Does the ECU take input from the speed sensor?

Assistance would be cool.
