Car starts, then dies, and doesn't start.
I've been having some trouble with my car lately, and want some opinions on what could be causing it. It's
Symptoms: When it does start, it will spit and sputter, and the check engine light will flash like crazy. Then it will die. There is also sometimes irregular RPM movement, jumps like 500 RPM when the engine is clearly not reving, and also the speedometer sometimes jumps to about 20. After it does that it will no start unless I wait for about five minutes or so.
I just replaced the fuel filter about a week ago. Also the spark plugs and wires were also changed about two weeks ago. I'm leaning towards a fawlty fuel pump, the main relay, or I could of just sucked some bad gas up because I was on E when this all started.
