Default My accident with my stupidity

I backed into a car a while ago, leaving me a with a dented driver side rear bumper area on my 93 EJ. Yeah i know, im stupid. Insurance quotes are about one grand... so im thinking about just replacing the broken tailight (which is just chipped) and maybe bondoing the rest? Would this be stupid?

Thanx in advance.

if its just the bumber then replace it, but if you going to bondo then try and use as little as possible. Try using a stud welder to shape the metal then use a little filler to smooth out.

if it's only the bumper and tail light the best thing to do is go to the junkyard find a bumper and tail light prep the bumper yourself and just bring it to a paint shop the whole process should cost you 300 or less i have done this beofre on my car and my friends
