205/55/15 on 99-00 Si Wheels
I'm lowering my girlfriends car, an 01 civic 2 door with Eibach prokits, and I am also installing Si's with 205-55-15 tires...Is this too large a fitment for this car? I think it will be ok, because I'm only lowering an inch, but i'm concerned about any rubbing...
you should be ok with the prokit since it doesnt to an agressive drop , but a 205/55 is a rather tall tire , the reccomended size is a 195/55 or a 205/50 , but other than knowing that you should be ok
well the stock tire's a what 185-65-15? thats got a 24.5" dia and a 205-55-15 has a 24" dia so i think u'll be ok, although the 205 will be wider u might rub but with only 1" drop i'd think it would clear just fine.
Well, the tire thats on the car now is 185/65/15...Thanks for the input fellas, I was a little concerned about any rubbing for the most part. I think it'll be ok. I'm interested to see the look of the car with the meaty tires installed...

Just to chime in and give you a little more confidence... I'm running the exact same setup on my 00 coupe, and have no clearance issues.
I rubbed once or twice with my wheel all the way cranked, and on a very steep slope while exiting my parking lot, but that's a pretty unique circumstance, so on any given day, you're good to go.

correct
man stock tires on civic keep on getting bigger and bigger. at this rate, civics will have dubs standard in about the year 2020. anyways, decent "sport" tires dont come in anything taller than 55 series, so i'd go with a 205/55-15 also
