Anyone having SRS problems?
Well, shadow had to go back home today to get her Airbag systems checked.. the little SRS warning light came on on sunday -- and hasnt wanted to turn off .. Just wondering if anyone so far has had this problem... if its been worked on by an Acura tech, and if its been resolved since its return. I will post on here once i find out more information from the dealership on what is going on...
ok .. so either im the only one with this luck .. or no one wants to add to this ... Sorry, if the tone is of a royally pissed off kind -- youll have to forgive me...
OK, so i get my car back last night - not only did the guy who worked on it pull up jamming my system -- but when he asks what Im kicking, i go to show him ... my sub had flown around in my trunk -- can we say mechanic test drive? i had a red neon in the back -- yeah, it was now under my sub box - riiight it only gets better -- my intake .. which i have a shitty little k&n cone filter -- now was sitting on the transmission, yeah it kinda made its way from the intake to not on the intake! so i drove home w/o a filter (i put it on immediately, reset the ecu and let her idle for 5 minutes) .. so all minor bullshit things right? Well, the problem that i took it in for .. the SRS light; THE MOTHER ****** TURNED ON an hour after i left the dealership. so -- i take it back in today -- and they give me this really cool **** yellow 4 door Ford Focus .. automatic power NOTHING .. Im sorry - ive always heard really good things about acura service, but this is wiping its *** with all ive heard.
ok, i needed to vent .. i vented
thanks for listening

Well I see no-one has replied to your post, so just to let you know someone is listening
...
Sounds like your car was subjected to a decent 'test drive'...well, it's not right but as a former mechanic I can't say I've never done the same...but at least I would have made sure your subby etc was back where it should have been before I gave it back to you
But 1. you should let the dealership know of your dis-satisfaction about the condition of your car when returned...if they are a good dealership the will want to know and do something about it (behind the scenes). If they don't then I would find another dealership and tell Acura about it (they do want to know).
2. Hate to ask a stupid question "there's no such thing as a stupid question but boy are there a lot of inquisitive idiots out there"
but is it the side airbag warning light that 's coming on? If it is it's not necesarily a problem...
3. I know of no common SRS problems with 02 Integra/RSXs and if you do have a problem I'm sure it's something that can be fixed.
4. Speaking from experience, they would have reset your SRS ECU, gone for a testy, seen the light didn't come back on, and said hey let's give it back, CNF (Can Not Fault). Again not right but persistance on your part will get it fixed if it's a problem.

i know about that side airbag light -- thats ok .. whats coming on .. according to the dealership -- is that there is a sensor in the passenger seat that tells the car there is someone sitting there. Thats the sensor that is tripping .. so the car thinks there is someone there, but leaning forward - so it cuts off the passenger side airbag. Since they had to keep it overnight, (which i will check miles) they were going to completely replace the sensor. It should be ok by now..
I also asked the guy if the rsx's were coming back for this, and he said he has seen about a good 6-7 come back, as for the Integra spec of the car -- they have different airbag settings --

I didn't read all of your posts on this threat sorry, but heres my story.
When i bought my Type R off my Honda Dealer (In Australia) he explicitly told me to ensure that the SRS Airbag lights go off afew seconds after the engine has started. He also mentioned that if they do malfunction (lights failing to go away) then i must bring them into the dealer to have it serviced and checked up on immediately. It's covered by warranty.
Remember, this is just for my situation, anything may vary.

... I dont know what the hell is going on .. but just for the record -- the light again, after 2 hours of having it back -- turned on again! Is anyone else having these problems? or is it just me?? (3 more and lemon law kicks in)
