Default Clutch question for the RSX masses..............

I am going to have the dealer take my tranny apart in a couple more months for a 2nd and 3rd gear grind and notchyness...Anyway...I would like to have them install an ITR flywheel, but I want to know if a new Type-S clutch disc and pressure plate will be enough for this new lightweight flywheel. Reason I am asking is I'll always be all-motor, I do not auto-cross and don't really 1/4 mile the car either. But I love to drive this car spiritedly , And I can get the parts at almost cost.

I might be trading next year for a 2005 TL 6-spd anyway....What do you guys think? My only other option is a full after-market clutch package...Pressure Plate, Disc, and so on.

depending on the condition of your clutch if it's bad go for the after market, if clutch masters makes one i would go for that, i had a centerforce before and wasn't happy it weared out quick and i drive similar to what you described, i i'm not sure but i doubt the warranty will cover you after the itr flywheel

Yea, Even though I work for an Acura dealer I know they wopuldn't cover the tranny any more....I also had a Centerforce that let a spring go on me in an older Civic.

I'll look into the Clutch masters, and ACT...Do you think the ITR flywheel would be ok with the factory clutch parts?...New of course.

i don't have to much knowledge about the k motors but i have driven them before and it feels strong enough on a good clutch i know a bseries shouldn't have any problems with that, maybe just a very little of premature clutch wear

Glad to get your thoughts

Where have I been?

I think I will still put that ITR flywheel in there though.
