Clear plastic on gauge cluster.
I think this has been covered, but the search turned up nothing for ME. Anyhow, I got some Mequire's vinyl and rubber protectant (Armorall type shiny stuff) on the clear cover to my gauge cluster, and it made the damn thing blurry in spots. It sounds trivial, but everytime, I look at the RPMs, there is this blurry spot near the 7.
Is there any quick fixed to this without replacing the plastic? If my memory serves me right, someone once said to try lemon juice with water, but I don't have a very good memory, so.... help me here if you would.
Thanks

I would be careful because some chemicals can cause the plastic lense to "craze" or fog up permanently. Just use some water with a touch of car wash soap or dish detergent on a SOFT cloth. Wipe it and it should remove all the gunk from the greasy stuff. After you have removed it, it is more approrpriate to use a plastic polish.

I think I'll try the Cleaner Wax cause the isoprophyl alocohol did not work. The stuff has been on there for a while. Alcohol would probably work if I had just done it. Thanks for the help boys. I'll let you all know how it turns out tomorrow.
here's my post a few months ago on the same topic
