b16a with gsr head...

Default b16a with gsr head...

as topic says, how much of a difference would it make and is it worth it?

well, you should use a skunk manifold if you plan to try this, but you'll gain some better lowend torque as well as higher compression because of the smaller combustion chamber(s) the GSR head has.

i heard the B16 works BETTER with the GSR head
and the GSR works BETTER with the B16 head.

well they definitely have their difference, but putting a B16 head on a stock GSR block will lower compression (under 10.0cr) because of the B16's larger combustion chamber area(s). To me, thats NOT better, unless I plan to turbo the engine.

Putting a B16 head on GSR block = poorman's ITR setup (along with changing over to a better piston ala b16 or ITR).

Flowage-wise,
The B16A & ITR head has better top end flow, whereas the B18C heads have better lowend flow.

you could always WELD the combustion chambers on the B16 head.

you sure could

but the cost effectiveness between getting that done and just running a GSR head comes to play...also depends on the user.
