I have a 93 and in the morning for the first start, I get REALLY lazy starts.
I thought it was my old battery, it was a 5yr red top optima.
It took me 2 cranks to get the car started.
So I bought a new red top optima thinking my old red top went bad.

I can start the car in one crank now, but the start is still lazy.
What could be the problem?

Not sure what it is and never really looked into it.
But could be ur starter motor? egnition switch? Spark plugs? lol
i'm just guessing though

 

try spark plugs...when was the last time you changed your spark plugs?

 

how are you on gas

 

a tune up wouldnt hurt, if you havent gotten one for a while...

 

mileage is good,
odomoter is inaccurate since I did not recalibrate it to the new wehhl size.
reset the ECU and the mileage numbers went up.
I'll look into the plugs.

 

it might be your main relay. get that checked out.

 

How do I inspect the main relay?
