P28 ECU for a JDM H22A...
Hello!
I'm swapping a JDM H22A into a 1992 Civic CX. I'm looking to purchase a P28 ECU for this swap, but the only P28 ECU's for the JDM H22A that I can are chipped with some sort of program. Where can I find a P28 ECU with the stock redline and VTEC engagement of a normal JDM H22A that I can run with my swap?
THANKS!

dont buy the ebay chips...www.jdmshit.com has a h22 program for the p28.
I know that http://www.jdmshit has a P28 with programmed with a 4800 VTEC engagement and 8500 redline, but I'm looking for an ECU that doesn't have such a high redline. I don't feel comfortable running a 8500 redline since my engine is all stock...
I got a P28 with a customize 1.8 liters Skunk2 program that was ajusted for the h22 2.2 liter displacement.
Spec :
VTEC 5000
rev-limiter : 8000
I got it off http://www.ecutuning.com

Don't worry about the rev limiter. You don't really want to run a stock p28 anyhow. I ran one for just a couple of days, and it's better off chipped. I have a stock block, just bolt ons and I never run it past 7500. Just let off the gas.
Just get a stock p28 or a p28 with the JDMshit program. You'll be happier.

8500 redline doesnt mean shift at 8500 all day, lol....run it to the normal 5 grand, chipped ecu's are alot better for performance then stock...buy them off honda-tech tho, dont go ebay......jdmshit, ive heard has good feedback ....GOODLUCK...
The H22A program that we run (JDMsh!t H22A program) is a stock Prelude Type S map that is modified to run with specific settings to the fuel & timing curves. We're basically running the same setup in our track car with a Hondata S200 and we took those same maps and put it onto a stand-alone program to make it work well in the H22A. On the butt-dyno, you can't feel a difference but when I have time I'll take the car to the dyno and throw different ECUs into the car. FYI, those who have a "Mugen/Skunk/Vision/JUN/RPT/etc" chip, most of those are programs for B-series motors and when you put a B-series map onto a H-series motor, it doesn't run well at all.... no low end at all.
8300 isn't high for a redline... we could lower it but I know of some people who are running some Type S cams, high comp pistons in their H22, and putting down over 240 whp at 7800-8000 rpms. On a stock JDM H22A, max HP is at around 7200-7400 rpms. If the rev-limit was at 9000, then I could see a potential problem but low 8000's isnt high.
