Default BMWCCA DE at Barber Motorsports Park July 24th-25th now opened up to non-bmwcca entrants

Well if any of you have wanted to drive in a DE at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala. you can sign up with the Heart of Dixie region of BMWCCA. They are opening up their registration to non-bmwcca members at this point. The people that run this event are really nice folks. The track is gorgeous, high grip, low wear on tires too (polymer wear surface treatment). Technical track that is very "busy". Plenty of track time. July 24th-25th. It would be nice if I am not the only Honda ******* the bimmers. Hope some of you will show. For details go to http://albmwcca.org/drivinglinks.php

I just signed up. If I get in, this will be my first time at Barber.

Good Deal!! I will been in the very non-descript old yellow CRX with the nasty sleeper motor under the hood. Come say hey.

Approximately how much track time will there be? I need to know in order to justify the 11-12hr drive.

About the usual track time for most DEs. It is usually three thirty minute sessions a day. For the vast majority of folks that pretty much wrings it all out of them. Barber is a very busy track from a mental standpoint. You don't get any breaks. Doing good if you can check your gauges.
