Cable vs. Hydro tranny?

Is there any advantages/disadvantages from using a cable tranny with my B18C? I've heard that they will bolt on and match, what exactly are the differences? Is one better than the other?

depending on the year of your car 94 + have hydro trannys where 90-93's have cable tranny.
