Default One of the fastest all motor civic, quick question...

I heard one of the fastest or the fastest all motor civic was using a GSR intake manifold with the butterflys open and was ported. Any truth to this? I was just curious because we were having a discussion about manifolds.

Thanks much and sorry for the stupid question.

He didnt run with the butterfly's open,he ran with no butterfly's at all..the inside was machined out so there wasn't 2 seperate sets of holes for each cylinder. And look very closely at pics at the intake manifold. If you dont know the other thing he did and cant tell by looking at pics than keep looking and compare with a stock intake manifold.
