a premolded carpet is the best. it will fit perfect so you don't have to worry about fitment issues.

if you don't want to spend the money... don't change your carpet

then you got two options

1. buy a used one from a junkyard or person on HT

2. buy a new one.

sounds like a good idea or rent one of those commercial grade carpet cleaners....hmmm, how would you "recondition" it...you know sometimes how the sun fades out colors like black? Can you "restore" the color back to black?

duplicolor, as well as numerous other companies sell carpet dye. i would recommend using a brand called AutoMagic, they have a powder carpet dye you just mix with water. the spray can stuff seems to make the carpet crusty and it takes awhile to work it out.

http://automagic.com/

actually now, that i look at the website, they don't have it. I don't know where you're located, but i'm sure my rep would work with you, or you could pay me and i'll get some for you

i believe they sell the duplicolor stuff at walmart

hmmm, I'll see if they have it here at the local WallyWorld...I found some stuff on the internet at http://www.topoftheline.com/codyesy.html

I think they probably might sell smaller sets, I dunno, I just googled it...but that would be nice if they have it at walmart. If not, I might have to hit you up for some help there...def want to finish this interior (carpet and trim was one thing I was thinking I wanted to do sometime this month as long as it wasn't outrageously expensive).

Thanks for the info
