I got a good deal on a set of used crower rods for a d16z6. I looked at pics in other posts and it appears that "CROWER" is actually stamped on the rod bolts, but when I check mine they say "SPS" Just wondering if I got the real deal or maybe a crower knockoff? If anyone could identify these rods for me that would be great.

those look like 5/16" rod bolts..

 

I got some used d16 crower rods and they have the same sps bolts in them. I had to replace one of the rods and the new one came with crower bolts. They rods were otherwise identical and the bolts seemed pretty identical too. I am guessing they just must be older crower rods before crower started stamping their name on these particular bolts.

 

hmm, well they look just like my crower rods to me...

SPS are good bolts but probably older bolts than those that are stamped Crower. Do not worry about the SPS quality.
