Default gutted cat

Is there any power gains from the gutted car and what is the cons, some one wants to trade my his gutted cat for my stock cat, or should i just gut mine?

IMO save your money and save up for more gain-worthy mods.

A high-flow cat will usually only yield a few hp and tq (couple hundred dollars), just my $.02

Well most boltons only do yield a few horsepower and they are all expensive. If you don't have emission tests then you should just get atest pipe or weld in a resonator where the cat is.
