I am putting a roll cage in my car and i was wondering if the regular USDM ITR seats with harnesses would be safe in a caged car? ot will be 6 pt and can i use that at the track?

 

No man, it is a Diff that there not safe and plus you wont meet regulations if you have that stock seat in there with a cage and harness. Just buy a seat, its your life where talking about here man!

 

Thats why I asked, Do you really think i would do something to jepordise my life?

 

Also curious about this myself. I plan on going 11's this year in my ITR. Do I really need to buy a different seat? I thought a cage and harness were fine with the stock seat in order to go 11's?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

your fine.. I tech with my stock gsr seats with safety harness and cage everywhere. depending on how fast you go. they might check for a crotch strap. you just have to make sure the belts dont slide around. you can put something to keep them in position on the cage. or slide both shoulder belts through the 2 poles of the headrest..

 

i know when Brian Fisher ran his 9 he had stock seats in his car. And a bunch of other fast cars run factory seats, i will run my GSR seats. Don't worry about it your fine
