most cheap (around $100.00) or so do not come with the o2 sensor hole OR the flanges in which to mount it-it would have to be welded in. I bought one for about $300.00-a hi flow street cat from landspeedracing.com. runs better and sounds better, then again i also have header and cat-back. hope this helps
my cat came with everything, but look at the price

You'd be welding the flanges, or o2 bung, to the cat. The flanges will hold the o2 sensor in the catalytic converter, so the sensor itself isnt harmed.

This is like using an adapter for electronics, all it is is the medium for something to work.

Oh, btw, make sure you know if youre getting a 'high flow cat' or a 'test pipe'. The difference is horsepower---and a test pipe is illegal for street.

look for a carsound catalytic converter, or catco even. They make converters that have bungs already in place, just plug n play.

Good luck!

Yeah what accordselux said. My friend got one of those "high-flow" catalytic converters, but in reality it was a resonators. If you're keeping your eye on one of those 70 dollar cats from ebay, then look away.
