Default correct offset and rim fitment for 96-98 civic?

im looking to get some 15 or 16 inch rims. probably rotas. i have rims on my car right now that are 15's and stick way out of my fenders in the front and alittle in the rear. I DONT want this to happen again when i choose a rim. I want to make sure they fit nice and tucked into the wheel well and not all gangstah and hanging out...

any info as to what numbers (160x10xwhatever...idk much about rim size or those numbers...) thanks guys.

Rota Circuit 8's come 15X6.5 with a 38 mm offset. I am running a 195/55/15 on my 97 civic coupe and there is no rubbage. If you get an SI or swirlies, they come with a 45 mm offset and people change over to a 205/50/15. Good luck.
