Default ****Electromagnetic Radiation Danger*** - Please help!

I'm seriously considering getting a Honda Hybrid for my first car (compliments of my dad) but my mom heard something somewhere about a large and strong electromagnetic field surrounding the Hybrid's battery that is dangerous...? I've looked around and can't find ANYTHING concerning this, so, has anybody else heard anything else about this and whether it's true or not?

THANK YOU!!
