Default Auto to Manual Shift question.... post up ur comments

Hey guys , I have a quick question...

I recently did a 5spd to manual swap on my 99 ex.....

I noticed that when shifting into gears , its not very smooth like 5spd cars

^^^ that was with my D series...

We Swaped an LS motor into my civic and I NOTICE THE SAME THING...
Its NOT MY TRANNY.. don't think.. (has less than 30 k on it...)

What can it be...??

Reason I ask is bc I have driven my buddies SI & other friends d series and there cars shift easily....

SOMETIMES IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE TO FORCE IT IN (especially going into second, well kinda all of the gears sometimes..)

Thanks for the help

Both transmissions may just be getting bad (worn synchros).

I'd get new poly bushings, and change the fluid. When I went from honda mtf to syncromesh I noticed a big difference. If the tranny had been unused for a while, you might need to give it a few hundred miles for the fluid work its way around also.

The LS Motor/Tranny only has about 28k on it or so.... Real Clean... ..

The bushings.. are they expensive? All fluids have only been in for about 1 month... (Just did the swap in March)

Not to familiar with EK auto-manual swaps but in the EG the top tranny bracket needs to be changed or get an aftermarket mount made for this swap. Does the engine and everything sit in there the way it should? If it's off then that could cause it to "mess up" good luck bro
