CP PISTONS........I'm getting pissed
Block has been sitting in Earls garage, sleeved and ready to go since March. Been waiting 3 weeks now for bloody pistons. Emailed them - no answer, phoned them (long distance) on hold for about 10 minutes, never did get an answer.
They better get their *** in gear, or there will be some nasty remarks on here.....

Pretty sure they are on backorder all over. 93lsivic was told there will be a wait for the pistons for his personal vehicle as well. This is a busy time of year for piston manufacture's I would imagine.

I too, feel your pain. Good things are worth waiting for
Art is right about the castings (aluminum slugs)
There is a problem at the foundry which probably started from a mining strike in Bumfuque, South America

JE does not make an off the shelf 83mm, like CP does. Lead time at JE is 8 weeks for that size. I have tried most everything to find these pistons for my customers.
Yup, make sure no one here thinks I am upset with Earl, he has even tried to buy back sets from shops he had previously sold them to.
Let's hope I can drive my car before June.....

Its really not CP's fault tho. They have to rely on other sources to supply them with resources and if those sources are out then it has a domino effect. I know right now that China has purchased a large majority of steel and has caused the price of steel to increase. For example due to the rise in steel my cost of the InlinePRO manifolds went up.
