Default Miata Wheels on a Civic

I have a set of 14x6 wheels from a 2000 Miata. The bolt pattern matches my 2002 Civic sedan (4x100) but the center bore is too small (54.1 vs 56.1 on the car). Is it possible to have the center bore machined the extra 2mm? Would this damage the wheels, make the wheels impossible to balance or make them unsafe? If it is possible does someone have a ballpark figure as to how much it would cost (I already have the wheels so it would hopefully be alot cheaper than buying new wheels). Thanks for any info.

Take it to a machine shop. It won't make it unsafe or hard to balance.
