its about that time i change my pads and rotors. i did a search and people seem to not like the slotted or the drilled rotors.....why?

 

They are said to crack easier than blanks.

 

.... and warp. brembo blanks work fine

 

under alot of stress and heavy usage, cross drilled rotors have a tendency to crack while slotted rotors tend to warp alot easier...but you do have to understand you have to really beat on it alot for it to crack/warp...under normal driving conditions, you probably wont ever see that happen alot.

and since most people dont brake all that hard on day-to-day driving, it really doesnt prove a point to get the bling bling drilled and/or slotted rotors for more money.

i would suggest, like many other people would, get some OEM blanks like brembo and some really good pads like the Hawk HP and Motul brake fluid.
