Default Is my gsr secondary butterflies openning up?

Ok, I thought that my car was running fine considering that I was able to run 14.4 in the quarter mile. But untlast weekend, my buddy was in my car with me when i was accelerating and since he previously owned a gsr motor, he was telling me that he wasn't sure if my 2ndary butterflies were openning because it wasn't very loud at high rpms. This isn't the first time that someone has questioned me about the seconday butterflys so thats why i'm not sure as to whether or not they're hooked up. I think that they are because without the short runners, would running 14.4 even be possible? And how can i check to see if it is hooked up??

a way to test them..... look on the drivers side of intake main. and disconnect the electrical connector in the vacuum tank if the arm on the butterflies drops they are working (provided they are hooked up to the right pin out on the ecu)

i'm running a obd1 p72 ecu. and i just rode in a friends gsr and when his secondary butterflies open, its way louder than mine. I'm gonna have to try and check to see if its wired up.

That was my impression as well. I thought if secondary butterflies weren't wiring they were always on, thus giving better mid range and worse low end torque.

when it opens, does the diaphram goes down? If i try to move the secondary butterfly, I have to pull the arm up, so is that shutting the butterfly? Maybe it is open...

it should just stay open if you have at least power running to it.
