Default 85mm B20vtec fuel requirement?

I have an 85mm B20vtec setup and ran stock injectors (240cc) and my car had NO power. I now have prelude (290cc) injectors, FPR is at 50psi and now the car feels much better but it's still not running at it's full potential (I felt it's optimum power before).

My question is, is 290cc injectors good enough for this setup and just need some tuning? Or will it need bigger injectors? The max psi on stock injectors is 50psi, am I correct?

with that compression, i would use at least 340cc inj.. i too have a big bore motor like you, with a tad bit more compression (12.5:1cr) and im using DSM inj tuned with a VAFC (soon to be HONDATA ) and a stock fpr.. i hope that helps...

Okay, looks like I'm getting different answers. Thatonegirl, you say I should go at least 340cc, I'm hearing 310 with avfc/hondata, and 290cc avfc with tuning.

Is there a chance I can stay 290cc? Or must I go larger? Honestly, I think you're right Thatonegirl. 290cc doesn't seem near enough for this motor.

I was running 310's on my old 85mm bore, 11.5:1 motor w/ hondata, and had no problems. It made 240+hp

thank you.... big bore motors like more fuel.. so yes, 340cc will do, and you'll need a vafc or hondata also... tune that muth***** out.. hehe.. -marie

math says at least 310's would cover it.....

You said you're running prelude injectors ? Are they 290's for sure ? I've heard everything from 290 to 340.... Are they just bolt on or you needed to change anything ?

better too have more fuel, than not enough. I had the 92-96 prelude injectors in my 84.5mm bore 12:1 compression motor. I still was running slightly lean. I'd add a 190lph fuel pump or the 255 low output fuel pump to help out those injectors.

They just bolt on. 340cc is such an odd size.

The 92-96's are supposedly 340cc and the newer Prelude 97+ are supposed to be 290cc.

How can I use the 340cc prelude injectors in an OBD2 application?
