Default turbo waste gate acutator question,in need of help.....

i am using a 1987 ford thunderbird turbo coupe ,turbo on a custom installation and i just found out that this turbo puts out 14psi stock, thats great but my engine can not handel the compression so i am trying to figure out a way to bring the boost down to around 7-10 ,just as a starting point....so i figure i need eather a diffrent waste gate acutator that i can adjust or something else,if anyone could help me out with this it would be a really big help..

thanks

You can set up a spring to reduce the preload on the flapper arm. You might be able to wind a long compression (open coils) spring around the actuator arm so it pushes against the can and the flapper arm. there are lots of other ways to make it work too, just use your imagination. GL
