Need sugestion on clutches for a 98' accord????
Ok i hav a 98' manual accord and i just burned out my original clutch. i was wounder if i should replace it with the regular OEM clutch. i was looking online and found an ACT Clutch Kit w/ Street Disc and Heavy Duty Pressure Plate that i wanted to get. my car is BONE stock but i will be doing some engine mods later. What should i go for?
Fatjoe could you please be more specific? I'm not asking that to be a **** or anything I'm just also interested in this topic, and was wondering when would be a good time to go with an aftermarket clutch? I.E. How many performance mods, ect. Thanks!

no offense, but it sounds like u need to learn how to drive a little better (unless of course ur dragging this car every weekend and ripping of 5k launches every time)....most honda clutches last well past 150xxx miles.....i would stay OEM, just cause theres really no need to shell out money at this time....unless of course you can get something for really cheap....but be careful, OEM honda parts from honda can rape u in the *** sometimes, in terms of pricing (higher than ud figure it to be)

exactly... you see my reasoning for telling him to get an OEM clutch is because it will last longer and like he said, he is bone stock. now unless he has the plans of swapping in a fully built (for FI or NA) h22a then i see no reason to get an aftermarket clutch. OEM is perfectly fine, hell im gonna be using an OEM for my NA setup. if it doesnt work, then hell ill buy a new clutch, but i really doubt i will need a different clutch. and its not a mild NA build up by the way
