Default Crapola, what a day.

So I'm reading Secrets of Solo Racing by Henry A. Watts (a great book if you haven't already checked it out), which I've been going through slowly over the past few months, when I get to page 110. The next page is 143. Uh. Yeah. So I guess I'll be ordering another copy.
Afterwards, I get in my car to drive over to the woman's apartment, and my dead pedal breaks off. Luckily, it managed to lodge itself under the brake pedal where it would do the least harm. Accident avoided, I throw it in the back after giving it a few new better-left-unsaid names. It looks like the bolts just ripped out the welded nuts, leaving two nice rectangular holes in the floor. Any ideas?
Lastly, after finally getting to said woman's place, I just happen to look at my front tires, only to see they're pretty much shot because I've been putting off that camber kit. Luckily, I was in the market for new tires anyway, and now know I DO need adjustable camber before I ruin the next set.
Ah yes, and after THAT, one of my rear shocks is squeaking like no other, and while driving doesn't feel bad, I'm now worried that it's blown. So to today.

Edit: To be clear, the mostly-ITR related bit in that is the dead pedal and shock (Zeal B6). Any suggestions on checking/fixing are very much appreciated.

Had the same stoopid problem with my R. We fixed it with a pair of nuts, bolts, and some big washers. Was a real pain in the *** though... Basically you just need to get a washer big enough to hold the bolt on there - the tough part is getting the nut and washer underneath the metal tab that the oem piece screws into. Heres a tip - pull the carpet back, and take that big plastic cover (knee bolster or something) that is to the left of the clutch pedal out when working on the dead pedal - makes things ALOT easier...

good doctor, zeal b/s6 don't have spherical bearings...they come with hard rubber bushings

the only Zeal setup the comes with spherical bearings is the Super Function line

camber DOES NOT cause excessive tire wear.

The lowering causes more negative camber yes, but it ALSO causes toe IN which wears out the inside of the tire.

Leave the camber alone, and adjust the toe back to spec.

Thanks all for the help. Philly, I'll try that, hopefully that'll work. For the tires, Jamie, it's way worse than when I was last at your place. You know that rain groove on the inside of the Falkens? Well, it isn't there any more on the passenger side. Chris, I understand that a bad alignment would cause tire wear quicker than camber, but my alignment is good. Maybe I need ANOTHER one...
I thought of the polyurethane (is that the rubber in the B6s?) and how that squeaks, but why would it only be on one corner?

As for the woman...that'll be taken care of later tonight. I only had 5 minutes there, and that's just not enough time .

All of a sudden I'm glad that I have long since removed the dead pedal in the name of weight reduction.

IIRC the squeeking issue w/the Zeals is a normal thing.

I remember Trey talking about it awhile back.

Tires will be taken care of shortly
