Need a new engine for a 92 LX 4 Door Accord?

Need a new engine for a 92 LX 4 Door Accord?
My home boy (not into cars at all) wants to know how much a new motor not used .. will cost for his car . . if there are any.. or a old mtor that has little miles on it.. and has to pass smog...

I know for a fact it is going to be a hard engine to find becuase he wants a brand new , i was thinking it would be better off rebuliding the old engine..

you can't buy a brand new motor from honda. you have to buy the block, the head, and all the parts separetly which you cost you a ton of coin if they are even still making these parts.
his best bet is to find a motor at the junkyard for couple hundred bucks. if he is lucky he could get himself a F22b1 and get little extra hp.
