Default In need of GOOD resources:ITR engine swap on east coast for 97 civic hx

whats up guys...I just joined, but i've enjoyed reading the forums for hours...lots of good info out there I just purchased a swap car...97 civic hx coupe...I'm looking to get a JDM b18c spec-r swap, complete(would settle for the USDM c5)...(tranny, ecu, intake man; exhaust man; header, shift link, etc.) I'm way too skeptical to dish out the money over the net, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any RELIABLE and TRUSTworthy shops or businesses out there that could get me a nice, clean and quality motor... I live in the VA/MD/DC area, looking to install myself, local shops... any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated...
P.S.: assuming the swap is done professionally and the car is well taken care of (i.e. in the hands of professionals), and assuming that the engine is nice....how reliable would this hybrid be?? could it be used for semi-long distance/daily driving? just because the engine isnt "supposed" to be in this car, does that automatically mean it is prone to malfunction and chronic problems?? please help any and all posts are appreciated

First get good insurance, and kill switches, alarms, clubs, etc. I hear of so many nice hondas from that area getting stolen, and found completly stripped.

If you don't have to have a JDM spec-r swap, look into http://www.importautosalvage.com I believe they are within driving distance of you.

I got my b18c1 swap from them and couldn't be happier.

Another good place to check out is http://www.hmotorsonline.com.

Those two places, IMO are the best places to get your swap from.
As for doing the swap, do it yourself and save money....It really isn't that hard if you have a garage, some basic tools, and a helms manual.

Oh, if it is done right, and the engine is good in the first place it will be just as reliable as your car was before, provided you treat it good.

Got what you are looking for, PM for details. Have one in my civic and the motor feels great. Shipping is possible to VA but does cost a couple hundred dollars.
