Advanced Auto Parts Axles......Are they worth a crap??
Ok, Its been awhile since i've posted on here, but I need too find out if other people are having the same problems.
I have a 1988 CRX with B20 & J1 Trans.
I purchaced the motor swap as a package deal with axles and all about 2yrs ago.
I had a axle boot bust last week and decided too fix it today , with a whole new rebuilt axle...Well.......thats were the problems started.
And before anyone askes the Balljoints are fine, the alignment is fine , and tie rods all check out good.
Im having bad vibration upon exceleration at 50mph and up..Like a bad axle...THIS WAS NOT A PROBLEM BEFORE???
Are these companys that are making these axles worth a crap???
What ever info I get off here tonight would be greatly appretiated.
I called the Advanced Auto after I noticed the problem and the guy told me that I could bring it in and exchange for another one.
Should I do that?? OR Get my other axle back from him and just put a boot on it??
Thanks, Mike

Every axle I have ever put in any car has lasted quite well and performed just as well if not better than stock.
I'd get your tires balanced, I know you dint touch them but it could be a coincedence that you knocked off a weight or whatnot when changing the axle. Otherwise I'd grab another one from him and ask if he'll hold your old one until you try this next one and see what happens.
