Tips on a new 88 CRX? (B18A1 swap)
hello, new here. hi btw.
. I have just purchased an 88 CRX with a 93 'tegra B18A1. Motor runs great and the car rips. No problems there. Was just wondering if anyone out there in my same situation had any tips or hints on special parts that make my engine that extra bit special? any nice products out there that outperform this one, etc.? I really want to make my car run, and any help or random advice would be appreciated, please no flames. thanks in advance. see you around.

btw, i do have knowledge of hondas, I come from a b16a EG hatch that i totaled. RIP. I'm pass the bolt-ons btw (i/h/e). Any other information would be great.
Welcome and good choice on a great platform. You can look in my sig to see the mild setup i used to run. Big thing with the b18 is that you'll notice power starts to drop off just after 6k. If you are opposed to a vtec head then open up the ports alittle (do some gasket matching) and get some mild aftermarket cams. Crower seems to be popular with the ls guys. Anyway, its super easy to run a high 13 with an b18a/b.

its an Si. Boosting is an option. but i hear the motor is the best bet if you want to spray. NOS is an option alot of people like to do with LS', i hear they can withstand quite a beating. It's a B18 btw (fixed sig)
what kinda number could you run on a b18a1 with 6-8 lbs of boost, stock interior and mild system in the car....
driver could stand to loose a couple of lbs.....haha

^^I like this guy!
I would just boost it. Nothing fancy, just piece together your own kit and go from there. LS motors love boost!

I appreciate the info guys! truthfully I've never looked into boosting, ie prices, types of turbo kits, I just know that the run very expensive, can anyone throw me some numbers on some 'best bang for ur buck' quality turbo kits?
Turbokits are lame. They are for lazy people with too much money. Build your own kit from the pieces you actually want. check out http://www.homemadeturbo.com and get educated.
Personally as an owner of a CRX with an LS/VTEC, I love it but I would totally rather have an LS turbo.

It took alot of thinking (lol just today!) and I've decided on an LSVtec setup. anyone have any links for additional research or some insight on their own experiences? parts? thanks.
