ITR, ported/polished GSR, or skunk2 mani for gsr?
Which one? I can get the skunk2 for like, 120 cheap. But price aside, which one is better for the gsr? I know the ITR doesn't bolt on so i'd need to take it to the shop and get it drilled up. I know that the skunk mani needs to be tuned properly(which i don't know how) not to lose low end torque. AND I *think, not sure* that my CAI will get in the way of a skunk or an itr mani, as they are oddly shaped to my stock one...dunno though. So, what should be my plan? Anyone in a similar situation?
how much can you get the skunk2 mani for? BTW tuning should be done on a dyno and you'll need a VFAC (vetc fuel air controller) I think. The skunk 2 is an almost exact replica of the ITR intake mani - (differences should be slim to none - IMO)
Ya the Skunk2 is an exact copy its just a direct bolt up for the GSR!! the gains will be the same also.. i say get teh Skunk2 one and get it tunned on a dyno.
ditto
get the skunk2 mani, ITR CAI and if ur engine is stock still
no tuning is required. u prolly wont see any real big gains until u get bigger cams.
get vtec controller too

I think it depends on your mods or the mods you plan to do in the future.
If you are just gonna get bolt-ons, I would use the gsr.
If you are gonna go farther with the mods then get the skunk2.
Do a search about skunk2 with my name as username; a recent extended discussion about the skunk2 should be listed.
