Default alarm sensitivity on matrix rs3

i had the clifford matrix rs3 installed on my car for a year and now i want to set it to be more sensitive. went back to best buy and asked the guy to help me set it more sensitive. he reached under the dash/steering (somewhere by the valet switch and toggle). he said he couldn't do it. went inside and told me they have to remove a part of the alarm in order to change the sensitivity of the alarm. i declined cause they're working on another car and i didn't wanna wait.

was wondering if it's true that they have to remove part of the alarm in order to set the sensitivity or can they just use the ignition/toggle/valet switch, etc...? thanks!

Usally they just adjust the shock sensor, the shock sensor is usally pull tied onto the steering column.. probably have to remove the panel near the drivers foot area to be able to reach up and adjust it. Thats the only way i know of ,,

if you have a prox sensor (motion detector) they usually put those under the center console, to turn those up you would have to get to the actual unit, which means removing the console...
