The B17A compression is kinda low 9.7:1.....BLECH. These are just a few things to feed your "motor building" ideas....

-JDM ITR pistons (25 over)
-Or maybe some 12:1 Endyn (Wiseco) Rollerwave pistons
-CTR cams w/ ITR valve train
-Or maybe some Toda, JUN or Spoon cams. All good stuff.
-Toda, JUN, or Spoon cam gears (good quality, no slipping)
-Portflow, Endyn, or PYR headwork (multi-angle radius valve job, polish quench areas, good port job, mabye some bronze valve guides.
-JUN, Toda, Spoon, Mugen, or Hi-Tech header (you pick...they are all good, but I recommend a 4-2-1 for more ground clearance). The JUN and Toda will give you more ground clearance. All of these headers have a 2.5" collector.
-Test pipe w/ 2.5" flange
-2.25-2.5" diameter exhaust (Thermal, RS*R, HKS)
-A good VTEC controller (V-AFC, Fields)

There's more, but this is just a few ideas to get you going. It really depends on what your budget is. A lot of the items I listed above are HIGH dollar items. But you can build a pretty fast car with a tighter budget. But in order to help you out, we need to know your budget.

I think in addition to putting the above items and websites on your lists, you should do some research into exactly how an engine works, what makes it works, what each part does, and how you can adjust that to give you the best, if not you will just end up building your car to someone elses specs and not know why you did it.

I highly recomend going to a library, or surfing on the net the basics of an engine, and learn engine management and stuff like that.

good luck.

12:1? A little high - I'm guessin this will be a street car as well? If not - go ahead w/ the 12:1 compression ratio - but if it is for street use too - dont' go higher than 11:1 < safest on pump gas (premium)
