I straightened the muffler since then by changing one of the exhaust hangers...I may have installed one of the in the wrong place when I originally installed the exhaust. Since then I have painted the exhaust black, and it looks almost like a stock exhaust.

I have a few taken before getting it on my car:

In the first pic you'll notice that my cat is joined to the B-pipe right before the resonator, making the B-pipe shorter and thus the whole system more compact and cheaper to ship all the way over to Norway Nice thing about custom made parts

How much does the mugen go for? I'm having trouble finding it....I am also interested in the SMSP catback...I'm going to PM Dave for a price on that...

The Hytech exhaust goes for 800....900 if you want the cat. This is directly from a friend who just got his.

Yep, get hytech or SMSP if you're spending the big bucks...Mugen is all about the name...975 bucks I see. I bet Hytech and SMSP flow as well, or better than then Mugen too...

Thanks Austin, but I'm actually looking for pics of the hangars themselves. Are you using the OEM hangars?

Sean, I just used the lower hangers so there was some space between the muffler and frame. Sorry I don't have any pics.

I've had my hytech installed for a month or so and love it. I didn't experience any major fitment problems. One of the exhaust hangers had to be bent. The inlet section of the muffler was a little to close to the frame. After the hanger was bent...no problems. I would choose Hytech over the Mugen because it cheaper. It also 2.5". It did take 4 weeks until it shipped which was ok with me. John delivered when he said he would and took the time to answer my questions promptly unlike some other makers. You also can't say you have JDM bling as opposed to Mugen

If you dyno the HyTech high whp NA car you'll see a gain compared to the Mugen piece, I've seen a huge midrange gain, and a decent top end gain when testing the Mugen to the HyTech.

It's an awesome exhaust but heavy (due largely to the twin loop design - Mugen is very heavy too btw).

Too bad he doesn't make a Ti version. - that would be bling

He'll make one for you out of 20ga stainless which will weigh almost the same as Ti, but cost <1/4 of Ti...but I would think that he would use a different muffler to save some more weight.

..... john @ hytech =

I just got off the phone with him not too long ago re: ordering some more goodies.

Anyway, I wonder if he'd make an ultra lightweight 3" mandrel bent twinloop.....

i asked him if he could make a 3" twinloop and he said no. the 3" is too big for a twinloop. the largest he can do the twinloop in is the 2 3/4" which is what i ordered.

This exhaust is 2.5" all the way through with no bottlenecks correct? If so it should definitely outflow the Mugen... which has only like 2" piping until the first resonator, then increases to 2.36" the rest of the way.
