"More then you could afford pal, HONDA!"

On the real though, i would just swap a H22 into the accord, its less hassle. And i dont even know about auto H22's in a hatch, because already when you do a manuel one you have alot of problems with the shift linkage. If you do a manuel swap i believe youll be in the 5K range.

The transmission is physically to big to fit. Try something else.

put the H22 in the accord and do a manual swap. less hassle, and probably cheaper. a manual tranny can withstand more power and torque than an auto tranny.

and you think an automatic H22 will do that? rrriiigghhhtt.....
somebody doesnt know how to drive the H22 if they're doing 15's. you're starting off too big kid. a b16 will be good for you. maybe a b18c1. you can get into the 14's with just boltons with the b16. 13's with the b18c1.

What are you expecting to hit? If you cant drive youll be in 15s high 14s with a H22 hatch (there was a thread about it before). Since it seems like you dont know what you want to do just keep the accord and wait and see.

If you want to keep up to yoru friend, then just copy him in every step and be unoriginal, then youll keep up with him good.

Yeah, that wouldn't be a bad start, and you'd still have some money to work with with the 5G budget....good luck!

Dude, you see the button on the top right of the screen.... Right above your name. It says Search. Well whatever questions you have, SEARCH.

Need help to learn how to search then look at this thread for help.

How to use the Search Button

If nothing in search helps you then search again and again. If it still doesnt help you (after 5 hours of searching) then you could post a thread.

And dont try to start a SI vs GSR/LS vs CRV thread going which it looks like it will go.

my bad Luser. i didnt intend to make it a something vs something thread. i just informed him with what will probably suit him better. from making this post, it told me that he doesnt know much. also, he is 16 (too young in the game for a H22).

LOL! oh **** this was my bad more cause i read wrong. I didnt see that you edited your post about B16 and B18. All i saw that ticked me off was:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by lljaylell &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">guess u guys r right, b16 or b18 would be a good start</TD></TR></TABLE>

And what i read was "guess you guys are right, b16 or b18, which would be a good start"

Like if it was a question.

i say drop in the H22 in the cx. my friend droped in a h22 in a del sol took him like a few days because it was his first h22 drop but that sh*t rips ***. i have a b18c in a hb with bolt-ons clutch/flywheel and he beat me. h22 in a cx u'll smoke hella people. a lil harder to do cause u have to make room for the tranny. the engine is on a slight angle when it is in CORRECTLY. u ahve to shave off a lil bit but once u get it in, with the right tires u'll be really fast.

Um no, i actually saw a auto h22 swap into a 1st gen CRX, and a 1st gen CRX has about 2/3 the space that an EG/EK/DC has in its engine bay, so it can be done. The project lasted him 6 months of locating rare parts he needed in order to finish the swap, not to mention all the firewall modifications and junk, but i didnt talk to the guy much, he was a dirtbag

why would you bother attempting to put in an automatic h22 into a cx? The CX hatch is obviously the perfect canidate for a swap due to how light it is, but not an auto h22. Its too much trouble and money. Why not just get a manual h22 or something else? By the way CX's only come in manual, so by converting from manual to automatic you will have tons of fun.... No really, dont even consider it...

By the way, your budget for your swap is 5 grand? wow...their are so many different directions and options you can choose to easily smoke your friends b20vtec..Do a little research and you'll be fine..

Why not just drop a ITR in?

See how you compare to your friends hatch with that motor.....and if you still need more, add ZEX.

Here is a thought for you. Buy an LS and swap that in your car. Save all the extra money and learn a little about it. Use the leftover money to turbo it and build as much as possible within your budget, and go stomp on your friend. Wait...bad idea. No offense, but there are not many kids at 16 that can handle a turbo car. I know I couldnt have. I would recommend an LS and then start building it to get setup for turbo, and maybe turbo it for your graduation or something.

Too much of a hassel, its best to go B-series w/ a B16a auto tranny, that's what I'm doing!
